During a long career in Real Estate spanning some 37 years I have gained valuable experience in most facets of the industry. The technical knowledge such as values, Local Government Planning, Property information, Real Estate Law and history, is an invaluable part of that experience but I think the real value lies in the understanding of people and their real estate needs. A rewarding aspect of knowledge and experience is the ability to bring new people into the industry, train them, then watch as they become successful and respected members of the four office Methven Team. I have been a part of the Methven Group for over 25 years, most of that time as a director and shareholder and am fortunate to enjoy the support of long time business partner and friend, Geoff Earney. Indeed one of my greatest areas of satisfaction is the number of long term friendships that I have developed with staff members and clients that I now count as my closest friends. I have also been able to work toward greater professionalism in the industry through my involvement with the Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV). I have served as local branch president and on various committees particularly the Ethics / professional standards committee. My areas of specialty are Residential sales, auction, development work, staff recruiting, training and management. One benefit of such long term involvement in the industry is number of the experts and contacts I have met which enables me to source expertise to assist my clients on any aspect of the property industry. I look forward to assisting my existing and future clients with my experience, knowledge and passion for all things Real Estate. I will also enjoy assisting more future team members to get their start and training in this excellent career.
